General rules for joining *VoM*:

  • Racism is not tolerated in our clan. If you have ultra-right wing feelings do not bother to join.
  • Our clan is European, centered around the Benelux. Our location has impact on the in-game ping. Take this into consideration if you want to join.
  • Our minimum age is set to 15. However we would prefer more mature players, since UT3 is rated 18+ (www.pegi.info).
  • All members should be able to understand and speak the basics of English.
  • One must have teamspeak (www.goteamspeak.com) in order to join.
  • Multi-clanning is allowed.  But not encouraged.
  • You have to play the UT series for at least a month. If not, close down this window and double click the UT shortcut.
  • After joining, there is a one week test period. After that re-evaluation can take place.

Intern agreements:

  • At any time, try to respect your clanmates.
  • Behave yourself in public. Defend yourself when needed, but we do not appreciate conflicts with other players and/or clans.
  • Behave on teamspeak! No high irritating sounds, loud music, animal sounds… mind your fellow clanmates.
  • Try not to compete with your fellow clanmates. We fight on the same side, we don’t care about ‘who’s best’ discussions.
  • Keep server passwords within the clan.
  • Membership is a privilege not a right.
  • Our clan makes use of the forums. You are advised to check them on a regular base.
  • If you have questions or problems, contact the Clanleader. I cannot smell when something is going wrong.
  • Our official tag is *VoM*  , do not use other variations.
  • When playing on our own server, you have to wear our tag. Outside that, you are advised to do the same.
  • Feel free to make suggestions and organize extra trainings.

Structural rules:

  • *VoM* has a classical structure with one Clanleader. Attempts to introduce other ranks have failed in the past, and experience pointed out this works best.
  • The clan (name) is considered property of the Clanleader and should not be misused by other people.
  • Clanleader has final authority over decisions concerning the future of the clan. Feedback of the members is always appreciated.
  • Temporary ranks concerning cups and/or sub-divisions can be made but are not binding.
  • *VoM* is split up in the clan itself (intern) and the community around it. One doesn’t have to be part of the clan to be in the community.
  • Inactive Clan-members will be moved into the community when kicked for inactivity. This way a comeback is possible
  • Respect both the clanleader and the admins / technical helpers. These people put great effort in making the clan functional.

Wars and competition:

  • *VoM* focuses on training for every member, but wars are taken serious and are not free for all: if we play wars we intend to win.
  • Therefore, we try to field the best possible lineup. This decision may be questioned but proved to be very effective. Taking part in (official) wars is a privilege, not a right.
  • Being part of the war-team is NOT a rank and war-team players therefore do not stand above their fellow members.
  • The main ladders *VoM* plays are picked by the clanleader, based on our current objectives, capacity and (human) resources.
  • Optional ladders (and cups outside clanbase) can be requested by members themselves. Because these are not core objectives to the clan, they have stricter rules concerning results listed below:
  • Optional ladders will only be allowed as long as there is 1) a warteam + one reserve player for it.  2) the team takes responsibility for its own training. 3) the team does not lose 3 matches in a row. If this happened the optional ladder is over for *VoM*.

Official war rules:

  • Once again, best team plays. Period.
  • Only players with a microphone will play in wars (in general). Communication is a must.
  • Silence is appreciated during wars by people who are not on the team, both on teamspeak and on other platforms (irc, in-game, x-fire..). Disturbing wars is seen as a major provocation and will not be taken lightly.
  • Every war is taken serious regardless of the opponent: we prepare / train for every challenge.
  • Show up before the match starts, not on the moment itself. Don’t cause stress for the others by being late.
  • Be nice to the opponent, but show no mercy.

Practice war rules:

  • First round/map of a practice war is taken as serious as official wars. After the first round, there is room to test new tactics or let other people who are not on the official war-team take part in the second round. This way one can build up war experience.
  • Our goal is to impress and learn from our opponent, not to humiliate them. Be good and leave them a point, we don’t want to lose potential allies.

On the rules themselves:

  • Rules can be changed and modified by the clanleader.
  • No legal rights are connected to these rules.
  • By being part of the clan you accept these rules.

Signed,
*VoM*Kensei
