A Brief history of *Victoria o Muerte*, By *VoM*Kensei

*Victoria o Muerte*, was founded on the first of January 2007 by Kensei, (co-founded by Wolf & Sylvester.) *VoM* rose from the ashes of the now dead *PRC*.

*VoM* started as a UT2004 3v3 ICTF clan, with a strong focus on organization, training and performance and most of all: Ownage. With the help of allies, friends, Freelance players and a hell lot of effort by Kensei and the support of Angelzero, we became a clan that packs quite some sting.
*VoM* had a clean ut2004 record during the first years of our existence, not losing a single match until we made the step to UT3. Our first success was the 2007 UT3 3v3 iMix cup, winning gold in div4. Besides that we kept winning matches in ladders and funcups.

But then the time came to take the step to Unreal Tournament 3. For the first half year we had to focus on gathering a new core of loyal players, since a lot of our UT2004 member stayed behind. In the meantime we kept the ladders active. After doing so we just missed the 2008 spring seasons, but begun practicing ictf 5v5. In this process the current *VoM* clan took shape, with its own core and style in tactics, gameplay, diplomatic relations and leadership.

During the summer 2008 *VoM* took a last journey back into the UT2004 community, taking part in the ut2004 iMix cup once again. It was a heck of a ride, ending up with Div3 silver. After that we hosted our first cup (iMix 3v3) in UT3, not an undivided success.

Fall 2008 brought the first serious OC season for *VoM*, which had limited itself to ladders and hosted cups until then. Silver in Div2 ictf 5v5 and Bronze in ictf 2v2 followed.

In this season another important thing in the history of *VoM* took place: because of our high activity and member list, *VoM* has split itself into 3 warteams (*VoM*, VoM², VoM³), all serving the same clan and leader. With this new formation, we are able to provide a lot more activity to the community, and give more people a chance to play. This system was used in the UT3 iMix hosted cup and the UT3 2009 spring OC.

What the future will bring I cannot predict, but I forecast Ownage.
